Over the course of two pioneering projects, the University of Pennsylvania recognized the following as key factors in building resilience: multi-modal learning, disciplinary convergence, entrepreneurship and applied research, project delivery, change management, and value of place. Abstract: Students who participate in off-campus programs frequently desire more on-campus integration, but limited financial resources require creative solutions to optimize space utilization and effectiveness. Eastern Michigan University’s College of Business has been located off campus in downtown Ypsilanti since 1991. This session will introduce you to concepts about preparing for this adversity. Institutional leaders often rely on ineffective processes for crisis management, but we’ll provide you with a framework and tools that will allow you to more constructively navigate crises. We don’t learn from our experiences—we learn from reflecting on them. Come share and reflect on your experiences with your peers and learn a new framework to help you lead in a crisis.
