Marilia Rodrigues, AIA, LEED AP, is a principal at KieranTimberlake, an award-winning architecture firm recognized for its environmental ethos, research expertise, and innovative design and planning. In more than 15 years, Marilia has led major arts, academic, civic, and residential projects including Dilworth Park, a four-acre park and transit hub at Philadelphia’s City Hall, the Edgar N. Putman Pavilion at the James A. Michener Art Museum, and the Master Plan for the Central Delaware Waterfront in Philadelphia. She was the principal in charge of the East End Transformation, a vibrant gateway to Washington University in St. Louis. This major new campus landscape features LEED Platinum buildings, including an addition to the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, an expansion of the Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum, two new multiuse buildings, and an underground parking facility. Most recently, she led the design team through all phases of the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub at Penn State. Marilia currently serves on the board of directors for Mural Arts Philadelphia, one of the nation’s largest public art programs.
