Lori Garrett
Vice President
Glavé & Holmes Architecture
Lori Garrett, FAIA, is Vice President and a Senior Principal at Glavé & Holmes Architecture in Richmond, Virginia. As Director of the firm’s Higher Education Studio, Lori has led a vast portfolio of projects ranging from renovations of historic structures to new large-scale signature buildings.
Lori is recognized for her inclusive approach to programming and design, engaging campus communities as partners and broadening their understanding of context. Her work has received numerous local and national awards, including the renovation of Washington and Lee University’s Colonnade, which earned a 2018 SCUP/AIA-CAE Honor Award. Over her career, Lori has demonstrated excellence and creativity within the design profession. In addition to receiving the Distinguished Achievement award from AIA Virginia, she was first recipient of the AIA’s Women in Architecture and Design Athena Leadership Award in 2010.
