JLG Architects
Fargo, NDJim has helped grow JLG Architects from a single office with four employees to a 30-year, 12-office national design company named Engineering News-Record Mountain States’ 2019 Design Firm of the Year and one of MSN Money’s 50 Most Admired U.S. Companies. He is the “G” in JLG Architects, a Principal, and leader of their Higher Education (JLGedu) Practice Studio. Jim has worked on over 300 higher education projects on over 40 campuses, ranging from small renovations to campus master plans. He loves working on collegiate campuses, partnering in meaningful transformations and ensuring that planning, design and construction are exciting and enjoyable processes for all the stakeholders. When not engulfed in educational facility planning Jim is most often involved with organizations within his community – from Planning and Zoning Commission, Chamber of Commerce, Young Professionals, YMCA, Economic Development Corporation, as well as many others.
