Pace Reimagined: The Evolution and Transformation of a Multi-Campus University
34 days until registration ends
At the start of the 21st century, Pace University recognized the urgent need to proactively address shifting enrollment trends and evolving student expectations. This symposium explores how Pace developed a bold, strategic vision for its campus, then used that vision to guide two decades of transformation and development.
We'll share the evolution of master planning for Pace, from its comprehensive master plan in 2000 that laid the groundwork for a future-ready campus, to the subsequent master plans for its New York City (NYC) and Westchester campuses. We will highlight how Pace has used master planning to further its sustainability and decarbonization aims. Finally, we'll dive into the planning and renovation of 1 Pace Plaza. Located across the street from New York City Hall, this flagship building houses general and specialty classrooms, administrative offices, a student union, theater venues, rehearsal and support spaces, and student housing. After hearing about the impact of the renovation from the Design Team and the Dean of the Sands College of Performing Arts, you'll be able to tour 1 Pace Plaza and 15 Beekman and experience its transformation first-hand.
Join us to learn how strategic campus planning, data-driven decision-making, and visionary leadership enabled Pace University to not only adapt to change, but to thrive in it.
