Wayne Chen

Director of Campus Planning

Wayne Chen is the Director of Campus Planning at Pace University. In this role, Wayne oversees Pace’s capital projects and New York City master plan projects across the planning, design, and construction phases, providing leadership for the department and setting direction for campus planning while elevating the quality of the built environment.
Working with a team of Campus Planning & Facilities engineers and project managers, Wayne collaborates closely with design professionals and contractors throughout the capital projects process. Responsibilities include the development, analysis, planning, implementation, and quality control of multiple projects of varying size and complexity, as well as leading cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary coordination with internal and external teams.
An architect by training, Wayne brings extensive experience in design, construction, and project management, and is focused on implementing new technologies and innovative design solutions in the built environment. Wayne is a member of the AIA and a LEED Accredited Professional.
