Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Announces Partnership with Learning By Design

SCUP Excellence Award Recipients to be Featured in National Design Publication

(Ann Arbor, MI) Award recipients from the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) 2018 Excellence Awards Program will be featured in a special June 2018 edition of Learning By Design, a magazine that is a source for education facility design innovation and excellence.

“Best practices should be broadly shared,” said Michael D. Moss, president of the Society for College and University Planning. “Our Excellence Awards program showcases how the design of physical space impacts teaching, programing, and academic outcomes. This publication is an excellent match for us.”

SCUP’s Excellence Awards began in 1989 and recognizes higher-education advances in planning, architecture, and landscape architecture. The new June edition of Learning By Design, will pictorially showcase and discuss the award-winning project portfolios.

Learning By Design has a distribution of 50,000 educational institutions and design firms nationwide. Its mission is to offer a multidisciplinary group of education facility design decision-makers a knowledge-based platform for creating environments for human exploration, learning, and well-being. The magazine is a resource for architects, administrators, and planners who focus on creating next-generation educational practices.
