Steven M. Patterson
Chief Facilities Officer
Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA)
Steve Patterson is an experienced Facilities Leader with 34 years of experience related to building improvements and energy services in the public and private sector. He is currently the Chief Facilities Officer for Northern Virginia Community College, one of the largest Community Colleges in the U.S. His prior experience includes 20 years engaged in building improvement projects with a focus on energy conservation and 10 years with an electric utility.
Mr. Patterson is a licensed Professional Engineer in VA, Certified Energy Manager, Certified Facility Manager, and his education includes a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. He was previously on the Executive Committee of the International Facility Management Association Capital Chapter, and was formerly on the board of the Association of Energy Engineers National Capital Chapter.
