Steve Charles

Board of Trustees
Temple University

Steve Charles serves on the Board of Trustees at Temple University, where he’s spent years providing scholarships and other financial resources to expand opportunities at Temple. His commitment to Temple is obvious as soon as you walk into the elaborate, cutting-edge structure that is the Charles Library: named after Steve himself.

Before entering the world of philanthropy, Steve struggled, hustled, bounced around, and spent years trying to find his niche in the business world. His answer came in the form of immixGroup, a company Steve co-founded providing a mix of services designed to help technology companies grow market share across the federal government.

Prior to immix, Charles was vice president of federal contract management with Selbre Associates, a firm he later purchased. He has a B.A. in communications and business, Magna Cum Laude, from Temple University and completed extensive government procurement coursework at American University, George Washington University, University of Virginia, and NCMA.
Charles co-authored The Inside Guide to the Federal IT Market and, prior to selling immixGroup to Arrow Electronics, was regularly quoted by Federal News Radio, Washington Technology, the Washington Business Journal, as well as writing for immixGroup’s Government Sales Insider blog.
