Scott Shell
Principal
Duda|Paine Architects
Scott Shell, AIA, LEED AP is a Principal at Duda|Paine Architects. Scott has advanced the culture and direction of Duda|Paine Architects through design innovation and the promotion of critical thinking across his 17-year tenure at the firm. Using research as the base of understanding, he fosters collaboration and open communication to achieve high caliber design and sustainable strategies. His strength as a designer is amplified by his skill as a project leader and his technical, management and construction administration expertise. Scott’s experience includes a broad spectrum of complex projects that involved leading multi-disciplinary teams and sustainable initiatives including the Emory Student Center in Atlanta, NC State’s Talley Student Union and the Duke School of Medicine’s Trent Semans Center. He received a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from NC State University.
