Robin Morey serves as the Vice President and Chief Planning Officer of Emory University. Robin joined the Emory team in July 2018 and oversees Emory University’s Master Planning process. Through collaboration with the Provost and Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs and the Executive Vice President of Business and Administration Robin supports the execution of Emory’s Strategic Plan to optimize and ensure highest and best use of Emory University’s valuable resources.

Robin partners with university leadership to resource and catalyze the University’s mission by translating strategies and goals into actionable plans with results driven outcomes. He supports and provides leadership, structure and a data driven framework for Capital Master Planning that identifies long-range needs that align academic, research, administrative and organizational needs guided by the implementation of the University’s Strategic Planning.

Robin previously served as the Vice President, Planning and Facilities Management at Georgetown University. In this role he lead Georgetown University’s master planning and campus planning efforts while guiding day to day operations for the University’s facility management, transportation services, capital construction program(s), campus utilities, real estate services and sustainability programs and initiatives.

Prior to Robin’s work at Georgetown University he served the Architect of the Capitol and the United States Senate as Superintendent of the Senate Office Buildings in Washington DC. In this role Robin was charged with long term physical planning and day-to-day structural, mechanical, domestic care and historic preservation of the United States Senate Office Buildings. Lieutenant Colonel Morey (Ret) was a commissioned officer in the District of Columbia Air National Guard for 22 years and served in served numerous active duty tours including Operation Enduring Freedom. Robin holds a bachelors of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park and is a graduate of Air Command and Staff College, Maxwell Air Force, is a Certified Facility Manager and LEED Accredited.
