Ray Gonzalez
Director, Land Use and Planning Department
University of South Florida
Gonzalez is the director of the land use and planning department at the University of South Florida. The Department implements and leads the University’s Capital Improvement Program, Space Management Program, and Sustainability Initiatives. Through his career at USF he has been involved in leading the design and construction components of the Universities Capital Improvement Program.
He holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Architecture from the University at Buffalo. Mr. Gonzalez is a registered Architect in Florida and New York and has more than 39 years of experience in the design and construction industry. 29 years of those as has been spent representing Higher Education systems.
Prior to joining USF 25 years ago Mr. Gonzalez worked for the State University of New York Construction Fund as well as various Architectural / Engineering firms around New York State.
