Michael Ambrose
Architect, Capital Project Manager

Chapel Hill, North CarolinaMichael is an architect and capital project manager at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he manages a diverse portfolio of academic, research, and infrastructure projects. He holds a Master of Architecture in History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture and Urban Design from Syracuse University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University.
With over 25 years of teaching experience, Michael has served on the faculties of several prestigious institutions, including the University of Maryland, Syracuse University, and Drexel University. He is currently an Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Tennessee – Knoxville’s School of Architecture.
Michael is also a member of the AIA Triangle Board of Directors. A passionate advocate for the power of architecture and design, he believes strongly in their ability to transform communities and improve lives. He is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion within the profession, and his work reflects a dedication to the positive role architects can play on campuses and beyond.
