Matthew Hufft
Co-founder & Principal
Hufft
Matthew Hufft started his eponymous firm shortly after completing his first commission – The Line House – at the age of 22. Originally from Springfield, Mo., he received his Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas, and Master of Architecture from Columbia University. In the 17 years since Matthew and his wife Jesse co-founded Hufft, the firm has grown into a multi-discipline architecture, interior design and custom fabrication studio, with offices in Kansas City and Northwest Arkansas. Matthew is actively involved in most of the firm’s projects, using his creative direction to guide design teams working on residential, institutional and commercial projects. He is currently Design Principal for the University of Arkansas’ new Institute for Integrative and Innovative Research (“I3R”), an $89 million facility that will focus on university-industry partnerships to engage faculty, students and staff in cross-discipline research.
