Marc Partridge

Director of Design - Capital Project Management
University of Minnesota

Marc is a registered architect currently balancing two design positions within University administration: University Architect and Director of Design for UMN’s Capital Project Management Group (CPM).

As University Architect, Marc guides the architectural vision for the University, while serving as liaison with the State’s Historic Preservation Office and the University’s voting member on the State Designer Selection Board.

As Director of Design for CPM, Marc is currently shaping a reorganized Capital Project Management group at the University of Minnesota focused on planning, design, and project delivery, with a renewed emphasis on design quality. With University project valuing over $1B in design or delivery annually, he is responsible for coordinating architectural design throughout the University five-campus system.

Marc has been an adjunct design instructor at the University of Minnesota’s College of Design, and lecturer at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the University of Minnesota’s Compleat Scholar Program. Mr. Partridge’s work has been published in Inland Architect, Architecture Minnesota, and Progressive Architecture. He is past president of the U of MN College of Design Student & Alumni Society, and has been active within the American Institute of Architects for his entire career; he is currently a member of the AIA-Minnesota Committee on Design.
