Lynn Akey
Vice President for Student Success, Analytics and Integrated Planning
Minnesota State University - Mankato
Mankato, MNLynn D. Akey serves as the Associate Vice President for Institutional Research, Strategy and Effectiveness at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet and the leadership team within the Office of the Provost. Akey supports institutional strategic decision-making and integrated planning. She brings to her role institutional experience in integrated and strategic planning; institutional research and analysis; and accreditation and assessment of student learning. Her leadership in institutional research, analytics, and effectiveness was preceded by positions of increasing responsibility in Student Affairs. She has published and presented at conferences on the topics of strategic planning, institutional accreditation, assessment of student learning and data analytics. Akey is a graduate of the Harvard Institute for Educational Management, Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) Planning Institute, serves as the Chair of SCUP’s Board of Directors, and is a member of the Higher Learning Commission Peer Review Corps.
