Luce was appointed Executive Director of Facilities Management in March 2020. She began her UVM career in 2002 as a Project Engineer within the Physical Plant Department and developed and implemented the first ever comprehensive Deferred Maintenance program for the campus. In 2009 she took on the additional role of Zone Maintenance Manager for the Medplex area. In 2011, she became the Assistant Director for Projects & Engineering, a role she held until taking on her new role. Prior to joining the University, Luce had over 20 years of experience in civil/structural consulting engineering and project management in the private sector including a specialization in historic renovations and site work. She has a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering, and a Masters of Public Administration both from the University of Vermont. Her professional registrations include: Professional Civil Engineer, LEED AP Building Design and Construction, and Certified Education Facilities Professional (CEFP).
