Lina Balcom has over 25 years of student affairs experience. She is currently Director of Student Life at the University of Vermont where she is responsible for the oversight and support of large-scale campus programs, outdoor programs, fraternity and sorority life, civic engagement, student center operations, student government association, student leadership development, and clubs and organizations. The Student Life team is responsible for fostering a strong sense of community and belonging among the student body, as well as robust co-curricular learning opportunities. Lina began her UVM career in 2011 as the Assistant Director for Davis Center Operations and Events and oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Dudley H. Davis Center. Prior to working at UVM, her career path included positions in residential life, student leadership development, student engagement, event management, and student center operations. Lina is a graduate of Bryant University and earned her master’s in business administration from Sacred Heart University.
