Lani Ravin
Associate Planner, Planning Design & Construction
University of Vermont
Lani Ravin, AICP, is an Associate Planner in Planning, Design & Construction at the University of Vermont (UVM). Her work includes comprehensive regulatory permitting for campus land use projects of all sizes and scopes, and participation in the campus planning process. Lani represents the University in the regional stormwater planning processes. She participates in alternative campus transportation planning and is currently part of a campus-wide bike parking plan effort. Prior to working at UVM, Lani was a transportation planning coordinator and co-managed the Transportation Enhancements program at the Vermont Agency of Transportation. She has worked as a professional urban and regional planner in Israel and is former chair of the South Burlington Natural Resources Committee.
In her spare time, Lani is an avid bicyclist, folk dancer and walks everywhere as much as possible. She is helping New England’s only women’s land trust steward 50 acres of preserved land on a shoestring budget. Lani received her M.S. in Urban Affairs from Hunter College, NY and a B. Arch. & Town Planning from the Technion – Haifa Technological Institute in Israel.
