Julie Hendricks
Campus Architect and Director of Design & Construction Services
University of California - Santa Barbara
Julie Hendricks, RA, LEED AP BD+C moved from her native Seattle to California to study art and architectural history at UCSB. She then received Master’s degrees in both Architecture and Building Construction from the University of Florida. Julie moved back to Santa Barbara and joined an architecture firm where she managed K-12 and higher education projects as the firm’s primary construction administrator. After five years working in this capacity, Julie became Senior Director of Facilities, Planning & Campus Development at Santa Barbara City College. Her efforts resulted in the College’s first Facilities Master Plan and the construction and renovation of multiple buildings conforming to the California Environmental Quality Act and requiring California Coastal Commission and Division of State Architect approvals. After 15 years at SBCC Julie became Director of Site Development for South Orange County Community College District, and in 2018 became Director of Design & Construction Services and Campus Architect at UCSB. Julie is a licensed architect in the state of California and is a LEED accredited professional in Building Design and Construction.
