Josh Humbel
Associate Director, Learning Programs
Josh Humbel is the Planning Institute program manager at the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). He aligns the needs of the planning community with the Planning Institute’s principles in an effort to deliver the premier professional development program to create institutional capacity for integrated planning in the higher education community.
Humbel brings 13 years of experience in program development to SCUP’s members and participants. Before joining SCUP, he spent five years as a program manager at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor. In that role, he developed internal and external learning experiences for a variety of audiences. By assessing stakeholder needs and institutional trends, he provided meaningful training experiences and opportunities for individuals and organizations alike. He continues to develop, implement, and evaluate programs that strengthen the SCUP community.
Humbel may be a Michigan native, but his Wisconsin roots run deep. As a Green Bay Packers fan, he has failed to make many friends in the Metro Detroit area. He enjoys cheese, the occasional cold beverage, and spending time with his wife and two small children.
