Heather Taylor – Incoming Regional Chair

Present Employment Position:
Campus Planner/Architect, Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, NH (2018-present)

Vision Statement:
The North Atlantic Region of SCUP has a history of providing relevant, timely content for our members and providing opportunities to create connections among professionals dedicated to planning in higher education. In our fast-paced world it is hard to break from daily tasks to come together. When we do, those moments need to matter. They need to inspire, energize and teach us. They need to give us tangible tools and information that will help us in make a difference at our institutions or for our clients. In our ever-growing data-driven world, having a place to find and share data is a critical role SCUP can play.

The enthusiasm and energy I see when first-timers come away from a SCUP event, realizing the great value SCUP can offer to help them improve their everyday work, reaffirms the value of my involvement and desire to continue to give back. I would like to see us expand the exposure of the resources and connections SCUP offers, and in doing so, engage new members and mentor and develop the next generation of planners.
