David has spent the last 5 years as an academic technologist in the Integrative and Quantitative Center at Washington and Lee University (IQ Center). The IQ Center is home to a wide array of shared equipment focusing on imaging, 3d modeling, and rapid prototyping. The mission of the center is to make these technologies easily accessible to the widest audience on campus. He spends much of his time cultivating student, faculty, and community engagement with the center through campus outreach programs, creating classroom experiences for departments across the campus, and supporting undergraduate research. Mr. Pfaff has a B.S. degree in Digital Media, from James Madison University. Previously Mr. Pfaff worked as a chemist at a cosmetic company in charge of claims substantiation research.
