Damon Sheppard

HOK
Washington, DCDamon is a Principal and the Regional Leader of Science + Technology for HOK‚ Washington DC studio, and a firm-wide resource for higher education design. He has been involved in the planning and design of more than a million square feet of space for higher education and institutional clients globally. His experience includes designing for all levels from large graduate research facilities to small instructional labs for community colleges. He has a particular strength in designing spaces to learn, research and collaborate for interdisciplinary science, STEM and STEM-H programs. His most recent projects include facilities for Morgan State University, George Washington University and the NIH National Library of Medicine. Damon also focuses on developing people through education, mentoring and diversity initiatives. He‚ was an adjunct professor for several yearsat Howard University’s School of Architecture, and is currently co-chair of HOK‚ Diversity Advisory Council, and founder of the local mentoring program in HOK‚ DC studio.
