Dale Braun
Campus Planner
University of Wisconsin-River Falls
Somerset, WIDale Braun has been the campus planner at the University of Wisconsin (UW)-River Falls for 33 years. Braun provides leadership in space planning and management, capital budget development, and major building project development and management. He has experience in environmental affairs, real estate and historic preservation. He has served on many formal and ad hoc planning and administrative committees throughout his career. Braun has managed projects affecting virtually every building and department on-campus. He is a graduate of the SCUP Planning Institute (2007) and assisted with the creation of the Office of Integrated Planning, of which he is now a staff member. His recent planning projects include forecasting future classroom space demand and assisting the campus in establishing a consensus vision using futuring techniques developed by Glen Hiemstra. Braun arrived at UW-River Falls 30 years ago as a student, graduating with a BS degree in geography with an emphasis in cartography, which led him to his career in planning.
