Cory F. Thompson
Associate Vice President for Administration
Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA)
Cory Thompson serves as the Associate Vice President for Administration at Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA), overseeing Auxiliary Services, Parking Services, Facilities Planning, Warehouse Services, and Procurement for the institution’s six campuses and over 70,000 students. He started his career at NOVA 18 years ago and has worked as the Director of Auxiliary Services, Director of Parking Services, and Business Manager. He started working part-time at NOVA as a student hire and continued working as he attended George Mason University, earning a degree in Public Administration, and the University of Delaware where he earned his MBA. Throughout 2020, Cory led the implementation of administrative controls for COVID-19 and writing NOVA’s return to campus plan.
