Clarence Lang is Susan Welch Dean of the College of the Liberal Arts and Professor of African American Studies at Penn State, as well as an Organization of American Historians Distinguished Lecturer. He has published in several periodicals, including Journal of African American History, Journal of Social History, Journal of Urban History, Reviews in American History, and Critical Sociology. Dean Lang is the author of two books and co-editor of three other books, most recently including Black Urban History at the Crossroads: Race and Place in the American City.
