Charles Piper
Office Director
Quinn Evans
Charles has thirty years of experience in campus planning and programming architectural projects in higher education. His work includes campus master plans, precinct plans, and innovative learning spaces for legal, business, medical, and general educational purposes. His clients include the University of Richmond, Virginia Commonwealth University, Bucknell University, Washington and Lee University, Randolph-Macon College, Morehouse College, and the College of William and Mary. Charles has a B.S. in Design from Clemson University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Maryland. He is the Office Director for Quinn Evans’ Richmond office and has led the higher education practice in Virginia since 2004. Charles brings a continuing curiosity about what will help students and faculty members get the very most out of the campus and its facilities, using design to provide quality and choice in approaches to teaching, research, and learning. He believes in the power of place to shape effective learning and community.
