Dr. Corpus is the Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at California State University, Monterey Bay. He has served for more than 20 years as a cabinet level executive on campuses within four of the largest public university systems in the country, including SUNY, CUNY, the University of Texas, and the State University System of Florida. Prior to arriving at CSUMB, Dr. Corpus was Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at Florida Polytechnic University, Vice Provost for Enrollment Management at the University of Texas at Austin, Vice President for Student Affairs, Enrollment Management and Strategic Academic Initiatives at Baruch College (CUNY), Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at Hostos Community College (CUNY) and Chief of Staff to the President at Plattsburgh State University (SUNY), in addition to administrative positions at NYU and the University at Albany.

Dr. Corpus is a nationally recognized leader in enrollment management, known for transformative results across multiple institutions. At Cal State Monterey Bay, he reversed an eight-year enrollment decline, achieving a 16% increase in overall enrollment, a 25% rise in freshman applications, and a 47% surge in transfer applications, while boosting university revenue by $13 million. At Florida Polytechnic University, he grew applications by 119% and increased diversity among African American and Latino students by over 120%. As Vice Provost at The University of Texas at Austin, he raised applications by 20% and implemented cutting-edge analytics to enhance recruitment outcomes. Earlier, at Baruch College, he increased enrollment by 20% to 18,500 students, generating $37 million in new revenue while advancing academic excellence, retention, and global partnerships. Dr. Corpus’s career demonstrates an exceptional ability to combine strategic vision, teamwork and creative data-driven innovation to achieve outstanding results in enrollment and student success.

He is a passionate student advocate and has designed and built institutional capacity through pioneering student affairs and enrollment marketing approaches, econometric modeling, and integrated strategic planning to help colleges serve students. Under his leadership, institutions have significantly advanced student support services, increased academic quality, improved persistence, advanced national rankings and developed robust and relevant high school bridge programs. He was nominated and served as a HACU Leadership Fellow, as well as an ASSCU Minority Millennial Leadership Fellow.

Dr. Corpus received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy and Psychology and minored in English Literature at Oswego State University (SUNY), earned an M.S. from the University at Albany (SUNY) in education policy and his Ph.D. from New York University in Higher Education Policy. He has completed the Certificate Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives at Harvard Law and completed the executive IEM program at Harvard University.
