Anne Lopes joined Brooklyn College–CUNYas Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs in August 2018. Shepreviously served the University as Interim Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Associate Provost for Strategic Initiatives, Dean of Graduate Studies, and Dean of Undergraduate Studies, at John Jay College—CUNY. Prior to her first appointment at John Jayin 2009, she served as Associate Dean at Empire State College-SUNY and as a chair and professorat Metropolitan College of New York. A political theorist by training, her academic degrees include a doctorate in Political Science—Theory–from the Freie Universität in Berlin, Germany, a MA in Political Theory from Goddard College, and a BA in Political Science from Ramapo College.
