Amber Chellis-Omedo

Amber Chellis-Omedo is a registered architect and higher education leader with more than 20 years of experience in campus planning, architectural governance, and capital project development. She serves as Senior Director of Campus Planning & Architecture and University Architect at Purdue University, where she leads campus master planning, architectural visioning, and design review across Purdue’s locations, including West Lafayette and Indianapolis.

Prior to joining Purdue university, Amber worked as an architect at Georgia Institute of Technology and spent much of her career in private practice on design and planning efforts for colleges and universities across the United States. She has a background in historic preservation and a strong passion for higher education environments.

Her work focuses on aligning physical campus development with institutional mission, accessibility, academic priorities, and the student experience in classrooms, residence halls, and throughout the campus landscape.
