Allison Derrig
Event Assistant
Allison Derrig is the Events Assistant for the Society for College and University Planning (SCUP). Allison works alongside all SCUP events including the five regional conferences, various symposia, planning institute and annual conference. She aims to create an enjoyable and meaningful learning environment for the entire SCUP community.
Prior to joining the SCUP team, Allison worked for an industry award-winning entertainment company where she provided focused and hands-on client service for clients ranging from couples ahead of their wedding day, nonprofits throwing fundraisers and small and large corporations putting on events for their community. During this time, Allison was introduced to the International Live Events Association (ILEA), giving her exposure into associations. Allison has been a part of the event industry for over a decade.
In the off hours, Allison is dusting off her wedding industry knowledge and currently planning her own wedding for April 2025. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, dreams about finishing the home renovation projects she’s started, and of course loves cuddling her cat at the end of the day.
