Alejandro is a Vice Principal at Thornton Tomasetti, where he leads the structural design efforts of complex, multidisciplinary projects. Alejandro has been involved in the design of buildings both internationally and in North America. He specializes in the use of mass timber as a construction material and has participated in several notable timber projects, including Ascent, currently the tallest mass timber building in the world. As Vice President, Alejandro adds to his knowledge of mass timber his experience in tall building design, creating engineered systems adapted to the opportunities and limitations of timber construction.
