Paul Lund
Principal
Hord Coplan Macht, Inc.
Alexandria, VAPaul Lund is highly experienced in the programming, planning, design and management of collegiate facilities, including new stand-alone facilities and various renovations to accommodate academic programs in existing facilities. As a principal in the Education Studio, Mr. Lund has been instrumental in planning and designing buildings at Georgetown University, American University, Johns Hopkins University and the University of Virginia. He has a passion for designing buildings that not only meet the programmatic goals, but contribute to the campus and community in a meaningful way. Paul believes in bringing his clients into the design process in an integrated and collaborative fashion. He brings the latest educational philosophies and research to his clients and synthesizes them with the institution’s unique mission to create successful and innovative environments.
As an active proponent of community and professional organizations, he has contributed to and provided leadership for numerous organizations throughout his career. These include design charrettes for outdoor learning environments, developing a master plan for the Columbia Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC and serving on the DC Committee for his alma mater’s foundation. He and his studio’s desire is to create inspiring buildings that facilitate the education of all students.
