Aaron Villarreal

Associated Students (AS) President
California State University, Monterey Bay

Aaron Villarreal serves as the Associated Students (AS) President at Cal State Monterey Bay (CSUMB). He is currently a transfer student in his fourth-year, pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in finance. Previously at his community college, Aaron served as his Student Body President for his campus, the Student Trustee for his multi-college district, and served as a Board member for the non-profit organization of the Student Senate of California Community College. In 2023, he was one of three students in the state awarded the Board of Governors Student Leadership Award. At CSUMB, Aaron started his journey in AS as a Marketing Specialist, then the Vice President of University Affairs, and now serves as the President. An additional leadership experience has been over this past semester, where Aaron worked with a group entrepreneurship team to create a product using a NASA patent and became a finalist group to compete in the NASA Innovation Tech Transfer Idea Competition located in Houston, Texas. Aaron loves to listen first, learn next, and lead after. He plans to continue his higher education journey and pursue his master's after he graduates.
