Global Planning Leader
DLR Group
Yogesh is a senior planner, urban designer, and architect with over 30 years of experience working on diverse planning and urban design projects. As a Global Planning Leader for DLR Group, an integrated design firm in the US and internationally, Yogesh is helping to define, shape, and advance the planning practice across the company. Yogesh experience includes working with wide spectrum of clients including federal, state, and local governments, higher educational institutions, developers, communities, and stakeholders. He has worked on award winning campus planning, civic, cultural, higher education, transportation, and large-scale mixed-use redevelopment projects involving collaborations across disciplines and cultures.
Yogesh’s planning perspectives are shaped by collaborations across scales, public and private sectors, and disciplines, advocating for ecologically and socially responsive planning, and volunteering with allied organizations to grow the reach of planning. Yogesh’s accomplishments are consistently recognized with leadership roles, responsibilities, and awards from SCUP, CNU, APA and other allied organizations. They address the core issues of social justice and inequity while assisting the underserved. Yogesh’s planning career and work experience consistently demonstrate a comprehensive approach to planning and design issues including integration of community outreach and engagement, consensus building, addressing resiliency, and equity, capacity building, and implementation.
Yogesh has a Bachelor of Architecture degree from VNIT, Nagpur and a master’s degree in urban design from CEPT University, Ahmedabad, India. He also received his Master’s in Community Planning from the University of Cincinnati. He is a ULI member and a LEED AP BD+C. Yogesh has instructed at University of Pennsylvania and University of Cincinnati. He served on the Board of Green Building United, a Delaware Valley green building advocacy and education organization, and serves as the chair of the equity, diversity, and inclusion committee of the organization.
