Nancy H. Blattner began serving as the president of Fontbonne University in July 2020. During her more than 40-year career in higher education, Blattner has served as a tenured faculty member at Southeast Missouri State University and as the associate provost for graduate studies and director of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center at Longwood University in Farmville, VA. She previously served for five years as the vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty at Fontbonne University before leaving St. Louis for 11 years to serve as the president of Caldwell University, a Dominican institution in New Jersey. Blattner received her BS in
Secondary Education and MA in English from Southeast Missouri State University and her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from SIU-Carbondale.
