Ne’Keisha Stepney
Executive Dean for Business, Technology and Workforce Education
Waubonsee Community College
Ne’Keisha Stepney currently serves as Executive Dean for Business, Technology, and Workforce Education and has been a member of the Waubonsee Community College Educational Affairs team for 14 years. Ne’Keisha previously served as Dean and Assistant Dean for the division. She has over 20 years of experience in higher education and holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in Management and Organizational Behavior.
During her time at the college, Ne’Keisha has worked to support faculty, students, and initiatives that drive innovation and growth. She is a passionate ambassador of the community college, a staunch advocate for the skilled trades, believes strongly in servant leadership, collaboration, and the power of collective impact. She is currently responsible for providing strategic academic leadership and oversight of Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs and facilities, Adult and Workforce Education programs and initiatives, the Postsecondary Perkins grant program, Work-Based Learning, and the Small Business Development Center.
As a fierce champion and advocate, she is committed to strengthening the skilled technical workforce by developing, scaling and sustaining high-quality programming for in-demand and high-growth sectors that engages stakeholders and incorporates an integrated approach to career, workforce, and adult education.
