Hilary Gossett (she/her) is the Assistant Director of Academic Facilities at the University of Maryland. As part of the Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost, Hilary works to ensure the strategic and effective use of academic space across campus by partnering with units to identify opportunities to create, renovate, and best utilize facilities. As chair of the Teaching Facilities Committee, her dedication to improving the physical learning environments and integrating active learning classroom design has resulted in the conversion of ten percent of the general purpose classroom inventory to active learning formats as part of the TERP Classroom Initiative. Before coming to Maryland, Hilary led award-winning design teams both domestically and abroad as Project Director with RYA (now Callison).
