Jennifer Carpenter
Principal
Verona Carpenter Architects
Jennifer Carpenter, principal of Verona Carpenter Architects, has practiced architecture for over twenty years. Ms. Carpenter and co-founder Irina Verona lead the firm’s design and research projects, including their current work on designing for all learners. In 2019 Verona Carpenter Architects was one of five international winners for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette’s “Redefining Learning Spaces” ideas competition. They presented “Joyful not Painful: Designing for All Learners” at the 2020 Neurodiversity Symposium at Thomas Jefferson University. Ms. Carpenter serves on the board of the Quad Preparatory School, a special-needs independent school serving gifted students with learning differences. She is an active member of the New York AIA Social Science + Architecture Committee and a founding board member of the Museum of Food and Drink. Ms. Carpenter earned her Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and her Master of Architecture from Columbia University. She is a registered architect, a member of the American Institute of Architects, and a LEED accredited professional.
