Irina Verona
Principal
Verona Carpenter Architects
Irina Verona has practiced architecture in New York since 1998 and is a principal of Verona Carpenter Architects, a vibrant architecture and interiors practice in Manhattan with expertise in designing for education, workplace, and culture. Ms. Verona teaches architectural design studios and seminars at the Barnard + Columbia Colleges Architecture Program, where she is an adjunct assistant professor. She is a founding editor of Praxis: a journal of writing and building, focusing on the relationship between theory and practice in the architecture of the Americas. She presented a talk on climate action on campus at the SCUP 2020 North Atlantic Regional Conference. Ms. Verona received her Bachelor of Arts from Princeton University, her Master of Architecture from Columbia University, and is the recipient of a Fulbright fellowship in Barcelona. She is a registered architect and a member of the American Institute of Architects and serves on the board of the Chen Dance Foundation.
