Monique Chabot
Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy
Thomas Jefferson University
Dr. Chabot is an occupational therapist with over ten years of experience specializing in environmental modifications and is Assistant Professor of Occupational Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University. She holds advanced specialty certifications in environmental modifications and aging in place. Dr. Chabot’s practice has expanded to include supporting the neurodiversity of university students through additions to the learning environment that reduce stress by meeting sensory needs. Dr. Chabot has presented and written multiple articles on environmental modifications and design to support students, including the 2020 article “Considering students’ neurodiversity: The next imperative when designing active learning environments,” in Learning by Design, which she co-authored with Marie-Christine Potvin. Dr. Chabot earned her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Boston University.
