Cooperative Planning at the Oklahoma Health Center

Increasing competition for limited funds has encouraged public insititutions to continue the search for ways to get better performance from existing facilities. In this article, the authors describe how this objective is being achieved at the Oklahoma Health Center. This project is demonstrating the significant capital and operating cost savings, as well as qualitative gains, that can be achieved by cooperative planning between educational institutions and organizations providing patient care.
