A strategic planning process that prioritizes leader and stakeholder engagement is crucial for cohesion, collaboration, buy-in, and current and future success for all parties involved. In this strategic planning case study, colleagues share techniques and tools found to be effective in the strategic planning process and in fostering engagement and intentional conversations. Updating the University’s strategic plan included collaborating with an external firm, using project management tools and techniques, equipping a core team to engage stakeholders, finalizing the plan, and celebrating.
