An Experiment in Upper-Division Education

In June 1973, the New York State Board of Regents approved the establishment of the Coordinate Campus proposed by two private institutions, the C.W. Post Center of Long Island University and St. Joseph's College. This article describes the general purpose and history of upper-division education and examines this experiment in interinstitutional education as one solution to problems facing many private institutions.
