Job Description:
The individual filling this position is expected to play a positive role in helping the College change as necessary to effectively carry out its mission.
The Grants Financial Coordinator position is directly accountable to the Accounting Manager – Grants & Construction for the following duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain budgetary and accountability control over all Triumph Gulf Coast and other assigned grant funds.
- Assist in developing and monitoring annual program budgets to ensure maximum and appropriate utilization of awarded funds.
- Prepare and provide quarterly and annual financial reports to the Grants Development team for submission to Triumph Gulf Coast and other grantors.
- Assist with preparing amendment requests and supporting narratives for grant modifications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Triumph Gulf Coast regarding financial inquiries and compliance documentation.
- Post approved budgets, amendments, and financial transactions for assigned programs.
- Review and approve grant-related travel, credit card transactions, and requisitions for compliance with college and grantor guidelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to administrative and indirect costs.
- Prepare required federal, state, local, and internal reports, including SEFA and other grant financial documentation.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests related to assigned funds.
- Provide administrative and fiscal support to program managers for grant compliance and reporting.
- Participate as a member of the college’s Grant Committee.
- Assist with the development of indirect cost rate proposals.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Accounting or the Vice President for Business Operations and Finance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Three (3) to six (6) years of documented relevant work experience required.
- Experience in higher education or governmental grant accounting preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex grants simultaneously.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computerized accounting systems required.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal departments and external funding agencies.
