Not a “New Normal”: Planning for the Evolutionary Shift in Higher Education
August 19, 2020Free Webinar | 1:00–2:00 PM Eastern- Event Home
This webinar is hosted by the University Risk Management & Insurance Association (URMIA) and The Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
A “new normal” in higher education simply will not do. The sector was facing serious problems prior to the arrival of COVID-19. Remember the enrollment cliff? Now, a pandemic and justified calls for racial justice turn an already volatile environment into an existential moment for higher education. The environment demands an evolutionary shift in the purpose of higher education. The key to this response is integrated planning, a sustainable approach that builds relationships, aligns the organization, and emphasizes preparedness to change.
Discussion in this program will focus on:
- Forces on higher education
- The value of integrated planning as a response to volatility
- The way ahead since business as usual is not enough
