Webinar
Impact of COVID-19 on Technology
June 9, 2020Free Webinar | 12:00 - 1:15 PM Eastern- Event Home
Join us for the second webinar in a series of webinars, Less Talk, More Action: Tactical Topics to Return to Campus, jointly sponsored by SCUP’s North Atlantic Region, BSA, and their BSA/SCUP College + University Roundtable focused on the impact of COVID-19 on campuses.
This webinar will be moderated by Parke Rhoads, a principal with Vantage Technology Consulting Group, who is an expert in strategic campus technology and is currently working with many Higher Ed institutions during this ‘new normal’. Our panelists Gary David, Bentley University, and Linda Jerrett, Boston University, will share what their campuses are currently doing to not only accommodate students and faculty, but plan for the fall and the future of education technology. What is their approach to making decisions when information is limited and the variables are unknown?
Learning Outcomes
- The difference between Emergency Response Teaching and appropriate planned re-entry teaching. A loss of norms = a chance for a new normal to emerge.
- Identify strategies and skill development needed in upgrading existing technology to accommodate remote learning.
- Compare and contrast opportunities and challenges for campus reopening and what that means for classroom and campus technology.
- Discuss strategies for technology response teams and approaches to address the new way of life and learning on and off campus including specific support and moderation for remote student audiences.
A recording of the webinar will be available shortly after the program.
