Impact of COVID-19 on Campus – An Overview
June 3, 2020Free Webinar | 12:00 - 1:15 PM Eastern- Event Home
Join us for this first in a series of webinars, Less Talk, More Action: Tactical Topics to Return to Campus, jointly sponsored by SCUP’s North Atlantic Region, BSA, and their BSA/SCUP College + University Roundtable focused on the impact of COVID-19 on campuses.
This first session will be moderated by Deirdre Fernandes, a reporter with the Boston Globe, who has authored recent articles related to the impact of COVID-19 on Boston campuses.
Panelists Michelle Maheu, Wellesley College, and Rear Admiral Francis X. McDonald, Massachusetts Maritime Academy, will share their insights into developing response processes and will address the potential outcomes on their respective campuses. What is their approach to making decisions when information is limited and the variables are unknown?
Learning Outcomes:
- Identify strategies to address the new student experience in a COVID-19 environment.
- Identify strategies to reconfigure existing facilities to accommodate reduced occupancy requirements.
- Compare and contrast opportunities and challenges for full re-opening on campus, limited re-opening on campus, and on-line learning for a semester or two.
- Develop an incident response team to identify approaches to address new campus-wide dynamics related to COVID-19 response.
Registration is closed.
