Leveraging technology is essential for effective planning, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. Unfortunately, researching, vetting, and learning to use new software, applications, and platforms takes time and energy (and that’s assuming your college or university can afford to invest in planning-specific tech tools). This interactive 4-part series will explain how common ed techtools can be repurposed to support key aspects of the planning process—from capturing stakeholder input and presenting information to training teams and improving user experience.

8/4/26 – Stakeholder Engagement and Feedback Collection

Are you seeking more efficient ways to capture stakeholder voices during planning efforts? Discover how educational technology can enhance engagement and streamline data/information collection. This interactive workshop will explore strategies for using educational technology to gather meaningful input and translate it into action. Participants will have the opportunity to share planning challenges, identify the right tools, and discuss effective implementation strategies.

This session will introduce the following ed tech tools/tips/practices: Mentimeter, Peardeck, NearPod, Padlet, Miro, Microsoft Whiteboard, various form builder tools.

8/6/26 – Information Presentation and Publication

How do you effectively present and distribute information to ensure it reaches stakeholders? Discover how educational technology can enhance information sharing and explore tools for effective presentation. This interactive workshop will cover strategies for using ed techto disseminate information and engage audiences more effectively. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss challenges around getting information into the right hands, identify helpful tools and techniques, and discuss effective implementation strategies.

This session will introduce the following ed tech tools/tips/practices: Microsoft Sway, Microsoft Powerpoint Kiosk Functions, FlipHTML5, Microsoft Office Style Guides

8/11/26 – Training and Gamification

How can we support planning initiatives through training and ensure key concepts stick? This interactive workshop explores how educational technology can enhance training efforts through gamification and interactive learning strategies. Participants will discover tools to boost engagement, improve knowledge retention, and create dynamic learning experiences. Participants will discuss challenges around training and gain insights into leveraging technology to transform training into an interactive and impactful process.

This session will introduce the following ed tech tools/tips/practices: Genially, Quizziz, Kahoot, Google Classroom, Articulate, Tango/Scribe.

8/13/26 – User Experience

Successful stakeholder engagement depends on our ability to make it as easy as possible for all stakeholder to learn about and contribute to planning efforts—in other words, a good user experience. This interactive workshop explores how educational technology can enhance access to efforts and information and improve user experience in planning processes. Participants will discover tools and strategies for designing user-friendly solutions that meet a wide variety of needs. Participants will gain hands-on experience into leveraging technology to make planning more effective, equitable, and engaging.

This session will introduce the following ed tech tools/tips/practices: how to utilize PowerPoint Live to offer real time transcription and translation, utilizing theme designs to create user-friendly presentations, how to create alt-text and set reading orders.
